Persons interested in filing as candidates for the Board of Trustees of the Hallettsville Independent School District may file or pick up the required forms at the office of the Superintendent, 302 N. Ridge, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays, beginning January 17, 2018.

The terms of Brian Smith in Place 1, Billy Gerke in Place 2, and Marna Klimitchek in Place 3 are expiring. The deadline for filing is Friday, February 16, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

The trustee election will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Lavaca County Courthouse Annex.

HISD GT Referral Form

Hallettsville ISD is now accepting referrals for students who may need Gifted/Talented Services. The program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual abilities at an extraordinary level not normally served in the regular classroom. Services are provided only upon identification of education needs of the student. Forms are due November 17, 2017.

Speak Up to Support Public Schools

Texans for Strong Public Schools is the Texas Association of School Boards' website dedicated to providing input to state lawmakers on the importance of protecting public schools.
Texas citizens can use the site to send their legislators letters supporting increased funding for public schools and opposing vouchers. Anyone who registers on the site will also receive updates and alerts regarding these issues.
