HISD COVID-19 Wednesday Update April 29th

HHS Graduation has been set for June 5th at 7:30 p.m. at Hallettsville Brahma Memorial Stadium. There will be some adjustments made to the graduation ceremony to keep everyone safe. These adjustments are being developed.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) minimum recommended health protocols can be found at

Reminder: The Transfer Application Window will close on Thursday, April 30th for any new or existing students who do not reside in the Hallettsville ISD. Contact the campus office for more information.

Campus Principals will be posting Grading Guidelines under the COVID campus websites this week.

Principals will also be developing plans for supplies and materials pick up during the month of May.

Hallettsville ISD Covid-19 Resource Website Now Available

Attention Hallettsville ISD Parents/Guardians:
Hallettsville ISD is releasing a website to help compile all of Hallettsville ISD’s Covid-19 resources in one location. The site includes many items such as:
· Campus specific resources with weekly lesson updates from staff and suggested schedules.
· A repository of all communications put out at the district level regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.
· Library resources with username and login information.
· Food service information and the link to sign up for meal packages.
· Technology help desk contact information.
· Local free WiFi hotspots.
· A staff email directory if you need to get in touch with a teacher or administrator.

Reminder: Hallettsville ISD Meal Packet Sign Up

On our March 16th Covid-19 Survey to the community, we asked about nutritional needs for HISD students.
HISD will be starting meal service on Thursday, March 26th.
Students will receive lunch for the current day and breakfast for the next morning.
This service is available for ANY CHILD (AGE 1 - 12TH GRADE)
The pickup location will be in the parking lot behind the High School.
The pickup time is 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Monday – Friday).
At pickup, you will have to provide the names of the children receiving meals. Children DO NOT have to be present in cars to receive a meal package.
HISD is collaborating with Region 3 Education Service Center and the Texas Department of Agriculture to provide these meals at NO CHARGE.

Hallettsville ISD is still under the March 31st Executive Order by the Governor of the State of Texas to remain closed through May 4, 2020.

The Technology Department, Teachers and Principals are developing a COVID-19 resource page on our district and campus websites including links to: HES, HJH, and HHS instructional resources, district communications, food service, technology help desk, and local wifi hotspots.
